I am back after a decent gap... lol.. not that i didnt have anything to write ...but forgot my id :)..tried couple of times but didnt get through.. infact forgot the name as well... just this morning i decided to create a new id and there you goooo... I managed getting through....So i have decided to be regular

YOU MEET THE TARGET BEFORE....here is my number ...CALL ME ...

Hmm... How many of us have heard this before... ...

... Don't meet me until you loose all the extra baggage...... Easier said then done..is that so? the next appointment I received was on the 12th of August09. Requested for an earlier date and I received an appointment in the last week of January 09. Well 6 months to go... I was just looking at him with all sadness in my eyes and he promised me YOU MEET THE TARGET BEFORE TIME AND HERE IS MY NUMBER CALL ME AND I SHALL MEET YOU RIGHT AWAY...


SO HERE YOU GO ... its just about an hr away from 7th of August... and am planning to see how i could loose about 30 kgs in about 6 months time.... And I hope this blog can motivate me and my friends on the net to get me going for the next 25 weeks.


Step 1: shared the above discussion with couple of my friends and they too were brooding over the same ..... oh i too need to loose weight ... so its like ...girl lets do something about this....pls share some tips, sites that can help me ... so get some references etc. get motivated and get going


Step 2: Picked up a nice notebook and set of nice colourful pens and did some analysis...present weight, BMI, target..etc etc..

Weight: 109 Kgs/240 lbs
BMI: 39
Height: 5 ft 6 in
Age: 30 years

Ideal State
Weight: 53.67 - 67 Kgs/ 118-149 lbs
BMI: 19-25

The metric converter can again be obtained ..here is one that i used... (lbs = kg * 2.2)http://www.healthyweightforum.org/eng/converter.asp. And this site just got me going....

I need to meet the great guy on 22nd January 09, So just decided that my target should be something i must achieve...by then...


My Target
Weight: 80 Kgs/172 lbs..... .30 kgs/68 lbs to loose
Time: 6 months/25 weeks. by 7th of February 09.

Step 3: Estimations....6 months, 30 kgs to loose...about 5 kgs/month, 1.25 kgs/week, 179 gms/day reduction.
August 7th - Sept 7th : 109 - 104
Sept 7th - Oct 7th: 104 - 99
Oct7th - Nov 7th: 99 - 94
Nov7th - Dec 7th: 94 - 89
Dec7th - Jan7th: 89 - 84
Jan7th - Jan 22nd: 84- 80 wow..sounds great :)

Step 4: Many influencers: calorie intake, exercise, motivation level :)..so thought to take each of them one by one..in fact in parallel as well....

Step 4.1 Calorie Intake: This part is the implementation part... Understanding is that the calorie intake should be proportional to the present weight and the target weight you want to loose. This is calculated on a per week basis.

I tried various calculations but I believe this suits me as of today.. i sure will change this based on how my body reacts.

Points to ponder: what are the things I need to eat to maintain the right balance of nutrients, proteins, carbs. I have hood energy, and also maintain the 1200 cal of daily food intake. So have 1200 cal balance the same with equivalent exercise....

Whats In a Name ???

What is it that...which belongs to you but is used almost always or most of the times by others ? Your Name...
Hmm...So Whats in a name...?


I have been writing since some time a thesis, report, or a paper...basically in different contexts.. but never thought of creating a space of my own like that of a blog until this morning, when i decided yesss lets give it a try. I have spent quite some time thinking 'what should my space be called hmmm... couple of names .... crossed my mind like Expressions, Thoughts, Sharing thoughts, chill pill, attitudezz amongst others... The thought process was What is that I want to pen in this space? My feelings, thoughts, inspirations, book reviews, impressions, turn ons - turn offs, learning's, jokes, experiences, fun filled events, low moments....experiments, cooking, anything and everything and hence boiled to this name....

So is there so much in a name? Hmmm May be Yes... May be No... Well how will the astrologers get the extra bite. Sunil Shetty to Suniel...the extra 'e' factor or our entertainment box ...'K factor'. In few western countries it mandatory to give a name to the baby before they even come out of the womb. Ohh now what is the fate of those kids who are not named after the position of the stars. Couple of days back a colleague of mine distributed sweets at the office. He had fathered a baby (hearty congratulations) and he sighed with relief... ahh in this country one has 45 days of time to name the baby. I could feel the sweetness in the chocolate :).

That reminds me... a decade back in my class there was this girl named (hypothetical) Sarika. Confident, talkative, full of life is what i can say characterised her. But her arrogance overshadowed everything. So the name Sarika was very much associated with her attitude and arrogance. For long this stayed in our memories.....5 years later I came across another Sarika...wonderful, pretty, humble, beautiful....she is one of my good friends... Hmm...Perceptions..associated with a name..no not any more. Well so many facets to a name... So do we still ponder Whats in a Name??

This morning a friend pinged me and asked me what I was up to...and when I told her about the name for the blog she said...ahh...wat a pain...I decided not to blog for not having an apt name .... so before I go any further on the importance of a name....
